Angostura

Angostura Rum is a brand of rum from Trinidad and Tobago. It’s produced by the House of Angostura, a company that dates back to the early 19th century and is perhaps better known for its range of aromatic bitters. 

The portfolio was later expanded to include rum, and the production side of the business, Trinidad Distillers Limited, has been doing this since 1947. Their output is known for being exceptionally smooth, with notes of caramel, vanilla and tropical fruit. 

Angostura produces a variety of white, gold, blended and aged rums. The Angostura Reserva is an incredibly smooth premium white rum that’s perfect for mixing, while their 5 Year Old expression has been aged in ex-bourbon barrels to create a rich sipping rum. Other popular releases include the 1787, a superior blend, and flavoured varieties from their White Oak series.
