Colonel EH Taylor

Produced by the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, Colonel EH Taylor is a premium brand of bourbon that’s recognised for its quality and craftsmanship. It’s named after Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, a historical figure in bourbon who made a significant impact on the American whiskey industry in the 19th century.

One of Colonel EH Taylor’s biggest contributions was facilitating the passing of the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. This maintains the authenticity of whiskey, ensuring that it’s made by one distiller at a single distillery, aged for a minimum of four years and bottled at 50% ABV – something that EH Taylor whiskies adhere to today.

The range includes a number of expressions, including small batch, single barrel and straight rye offerings. Their style is typically rich, sweet and spicy, with common notes of vanilla, caramel, and cinnamon.
