Glen Grant

Here’s a popular brand of Speyside whisky from the town of Rothes. Glen Grant was officially founded in 1840 by John and James Grant, and sold one of the first bottled single malts. It is one of the best-selling whiskies globally and is particularly popular in Spain and France.

Whiskies from Glen Grant have a light and delicate profile, with notes of apple and honey notes. They’re matured mainly in ex-bourbon barrels, although sherry casks will also occasionally be used. Around half of the output is used for Chivas Regal blends.

While Glen Grant produces a young single malt in high volume for the European market, the UK range is built around heritage and age statements. Their core bottlings are the 10, 12, 15 and 18 year olds.
