Linkwood

Originally opened in 1821, then rebuilt in the 1870s, the Linkwood distillery was founded by Peter Brown in the Speyside town of Elgin. It is now owned by Diageo.

Linkwood is a big favourite for blenders and is mostly used in Johnnie Walker and White Horse. Its a light and medium bodied whisky, with notes of vanilla, apple and honey.

The availability of single malts typically comes from independent bottlers, with the only official release to date coming from Diegeo’s Flora and Fauna range. This is the Linkwood 12 Year Old, which is the perfect introduction to the distillery.
