Stauning

Founded by a group of friends in 2005, Stauning is a brand of Danish whisky that produces exceptional malt and rye expressions. It is the oldest distillery in Denmark and has become lauded by critics and consumers.

Production at Stauning follows the same methods of traditional scotch, although they aren’t bound to the same stringent regulations, meaning there’s more space for experimentation. 

The initial goal was to create whisky in the character of Islay, which has resulted in a peated style. They also offer a traditional single malt series, that’s bourbon cask matured, and a malted rye. All three are combined in the Stauning KAOS.
