Irish Gin

Gin has experienced an explosion in recent years and Ireland hasn’t been immune to this rise in popularity. While England and Scotland might consider themselves market leaders, the Emerald Isle has produced an array of excellent craft and small-batch gins that are worth exploring.

Ireland has a rich history of distillation and this has extended to the production of gin. There are more than 30 distilleries across the country now making gin, many of which also produce whiskey – such as Dingle, Glendalough and Ballykeefe.

Due to Ireland’s landscape and agricultural heritage, local distillers are able to take advantage of a variety of botanicals to add unique flavours and characteristics. This means that alongside juniper, you may also find the likes of heather, gorse, and even nettles.

We stock some of the most popular Irish gins available, including Dingle Original Gin, and Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, from the Shed Distillery in County Leitrim.

Take a look at our selection and add some luck of the Irish to your collection.
