Due to the volume of Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez and fino finishes used in Scotch, Spain has always held an important place in the whisky industry – but has gone under the radar as a producer in its own right. 

Since 1958, the country’s main brand has been Destilerías y Crianza del Whisky S.A. (DYC), but a series of new and smaller distilleries are helping drive growth and interest. These include Nomad Outland Whisky, Haran and Santamanía Destilería Urbana.
