Champagne Delamotte BrutNon Vintage Bottling
Le Mesnil Sur Oger, Champagne, France(75CL / 12% ABV)
Champagne Delamotte, established in 1760 in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, is one of the oldest champagne houses in the world, steeped in a rich history that epitomizes the heritage and tradition of champagne making. Founded by François Delamotte, a vineyard owner, the house quickly gained a reputation for producing champagnes of exceptional quality, a legacy that has been meticulously upheld for over two centuries. In 1986, the house became closely linked with its prestigious neighbor and sister company, Salon, one of the world's most revered champagne producers. This partnership has allowed Delamotte to benefit from shared expertise and a commitment to quality that is unrivaled. This bottling is an assemblage of 60% Chardonnay providing its foundational complexity. Adding richness and a fruity dimension, 35% Pinot Noir from the renowned regions of Tours-sur-Marne, Bouzy, and Ambonnay contributes significantly to its depth. Further enhancing this blend, 5% Pinot Meunier introduces an aromatic density, creating a harmonious balance. This champagne impresses with its powerful yet refined character, offering a smooth and fresh taste without overwhelming the palate. The result is a clean and fruity finish, characterized by a well-proportioned and sophisticated length. Following thirty-six months of maturation on the lees, a subtle dosage is added to the Delamotte Brut, a practice consistent across all Delamotte champagnes, ensuring their signature quality and taste.
