Here we have an incredibly tasty treat, hailing from the amazing Château de Gensac in Condom, South West France. Gensac creates possibly the best Armagnac we have laid our lips upon. The talented distiller Jan Schuermann thought a peated Islay cask release was definitely the way to go. Softly peated from the Caol Ila cask influence, the 12-year-old plus spirit, works wonders with the wood here, incredibly smooth and soft combined with the distinctive taste of Islay we all love. This one is tasty Armagnac! Bottled with natural colour at 46.5% ABV.

As a big fan of Islay whiskies and brandy, this is an absolute peach for me! Incredible taste, really complex and subtle dry peat. Stellar!
I’m not quite decided on this. My first glass I warmed and it tasted like licking a peat bog that was sun dried. Very dry, too complicated for me. Subsequent glasses from the bottle were ok.
