A rich and deep flavoured rum that has been made with no added sugar, no spice, no flavourings or colourings. A true rum indeed that is 100% natural. Equiano starts its journey at Grays distillery in Mauritius, where fresh molasses is barrelled for 10 years in a combination of French Limousin Oak and Cognac casks, giving the liquid complexity and depth of flavour.Its then blended with award-winning rum from Foursquare, that has been barrelled in American White Oak, formally matured bourbon providing a one-of-a-kind naturally flavoured rum. Aged for a minimum of eight years and carefully cultivated in two different yet distinct tropical climates means Equiano matures at a far faster rate than many other dark spirits, delivering a liquid that is like no other.
