Filey BayPort Cask Batch #1

Filey Bay Port Cask Finish Batch #1 initially matured in ex-Bourbon casks filled in mid-2017 before undergoing a secondary maturation in fresh ex-Ruby port casks in late 2020. Ruby Port, known for its brighter and lighter characteristics compared to the richer Tawny Port, incorporates more fresh fruit, making the casks for this type notoriously challenging to acquire. This release is a more limited batch compared to other 'finished' whiskies, with only 3,300 bottles available. Furthermore, it spent an extended period in the second cask type, totalling two years, which adds depth and complexity to its flavour profile.
