Svensk Ek is the flagship release from the innovative Mackmyra distillery in Sweden. The name translates as ‘Swedish oak’, which is apt as this whisky is partly aged in barrels that were made by trees planted on the nearby island of Visingsö, as well as ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Previously known as ‘The First Edition’, Mackmyra Svensk Ek is a drinkable Swedish single malt that balances oak, sweetness and spice.
