This blended whisky from Adelphi was released to celebrate their long established partnership with esteemed whisky writer Charles Maclean, and by chance the Ardnamurchan landmark which just so happens to share his name. This is a limited release of 25,000 bottles, presented all natural colour with no chill filtration.

Notes

Nose

Burnt citrus peel, sea salt, bonfire. Nectarine syrup, marmalade, hay bales, coal bunker and oily shed.

Palate

Puffed rice, homemade rice pudding and white chocolate. Bright citrus lime pickle. Chantilly cream and Viennetta ice cream.

Finish

Decadent- balanced with a wisp of smoke.

A Word About Adelphi

Here we have an independent bottler from Scotland. It was founded in 1993, but takes its name from an old Glasgow distillery that closed in 1907. They also own the Ardnamurhcan distillery in the Highlands.

Adelphi whiskies are bottled at cask strength and matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Their releases are typically rare and limited edition, such as the Bunnahabhain 23 Year Old.

As well as sourcing spirits from across Scotland, they also have an own label blended scotch, made up of private stocks from Campbeltown, Islay and Speyside.
