Caol Ila 6 Year PX Cask Benchmark Release

This fine Islay malt, displaying youth and vibrancy, is a peat-lover’s dream. We have tamed this boisterous spirit with three, freshly emptied barrels that previously matured deliciously sweet PX Sherry, from Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola, in Jerez, Spain. To fully showcase this youthful 6-year-old peated Islay spirit, have kept the maturation short. For its final 7 months, this spirit has been matured in PX Sherry hogsheads with the aim of introducing a delicate, fruity character to the heavy, smoky Islay personality.
