Penderyn "The Headliner"Icons of Wales Release

The 9th in Penderyn’s Icons of Wales Edition whiskies is called The Headliner. Named in honour of the only Welsh Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Lloyd George (1863-1945), was a social reformer and accidentally established the premium whisky industry. His "Immature Spirits Act of 1915" created the ‘3 years and one day’ rule – meaning that whisky had to be in a cask for this period – helped create a premium product. As the reputation of new, mature whiskies gradually spread, the industry revived. Matured in a combination of Jamaican rum and ruby Port cask. This release is part of the Icons of Wales series and is presented unchillfiltered and at 46%ABV
