This Caribbean Rum by Pusser's is a full-bodied spiced rum, that has been bottled up at 54.5% ABV, making for great flavour that will certainly stand out in mixed drinks and cocktails. Pusser's Spiced Gunpowder Rum is made with rum which is matured in charred oak bourbon barrels and combined with a selection of tasty ingredients, including banana, chocolate, ginger, cinnamon, and vanilla which all add up to create its outstanding taste.

This rum is very banana forward on the nose, but more floral than fruity. It has the usual Pussers Gunpowder mouth feel and heat, but the finish is again quite floral and not particularly pleasant. I cannot pick out any of the other ingredients. This may be fine in a cocktail, but on its own it requires a particular palate to appreciate it. If you like Pussers for its flavour, give this one a miss.
