Smooth Ambler Old Scout Straight Bourbon boasts a high-rye content, with the mashbill being 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malt, so that means lashings of warming spice, caramel creaminess and toasted brown sugar.
Cherry, honey, tobacco and a touch of resinous oak. Develops soft buttery notes after a minute or two in the glass.
Baking spices (think clove and cinnamon, but not in a sherried way), joined by chewy caramel and dark chocolate shavings. Fresh basil and mint leaf, plus some toasted brown sugar.
