Tenuta FertunaPactio Rosso 2018 Vintage

Tenuta Fertuna located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma was created in 1997 to fulfil founder Giuseppe Meregalli’s vision to build a super-premium estate that could proudly sit alongside the other noble Italian wine brands represented by his family’s agency business. This release uses a blend of mainly Sangiovese with equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot making up the rest. The grapes are taken from the Gavorrano region of Maremma, in Tuscany, where the vines are an average of 10 years in age. The resulting wine spends 4 months in mainly new French oak barrels followed by a period of ageing in bottle. This helps produce a sensational bottle of wine- perfect for those who like a Chinati but are looking to branch out into something a little different.
