Shortbread and scented wood meet cherries and pears. There’s a delightful panoply of flavours and a subtle creaminess to the spirit. The tannins are supple, adding depth to the lush savoury sweetness.
Finish
Creamy fruit flavours drift away, leaving a lingering hint of oak and vanilla. Simply gorgeous, right to the end.
A Word About Wolfburn
Scotland's most northerly mainland distillery, situated near Thurso a few miles south of John O'Groats. While there was once a distillery by the name in the area, no bottles of its whisky remain, and the new Wolfburn has started with a blank slate, making an unpeated dram that already has whisky fans talking.
