Here we have the highly anticipated Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. This expression begins life in a similar ay to the Woodford Reserve Bourbon, then it is further matured in barrels which have been heavily toasted and lightly charred. This certainly adds depth of sweet oak to the bourbon, as well as more fruit, vanilla and caramel notes.

If you like American whiskey it’s pretty good.
I love Woodford Reserve and I am yet to try the bottle of the Double Oaked that has just arrived.
Service was brilliant, the order arrived early and was really well packed. Sadly I was duped by the photo and didn’t see the small print. I thought I had ordered 1ltr (as the phot shows) and didn’t realise that the bottle on sale was actually 70cl (a little bit disappointed).
Hopefully the bottle tastes as good as it looks!
