Catoctin Creek

Catoctin Creek is a craft distillery in Purcellville, Virginia. It was founded in 2009 and is the first legal distillery in the area since pre-Prohibition. The brand was launched by husband and wife team, Becky and Scott Harris, and is named after the creek that flows past the distillery in the heart of Loudoun County.

Becky and Scott put a lot of emphasis on the quality of their ingredients. All of the grains and fruit they use are sourced locally and 100% organic, resulting in a super clean spirit. Distillation takes place in traditional copper pot stills and for twice as long as other distilleries.

The flagship expression is the Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye. This award-winning whiskey is produced and aged entirely at the Purcellville distillery, with 100% rye grain, and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV). It’s full-bodied, with notes of caramel, nuts and oak. It’s also available at a punchier 92 proof, courtesy of the Distiller’s Edition, and in an even punchier cask strength.
