Irish Whiskey

After experiencing a boom in popularity in the 19th century and the early 20th century, Irish whisky was far ahead of its Scottish cousin. However what goes up, must come down. And down it came. A steep decline in the 1960s resulted in at one point; there only been 3 operational distilleries in the entirety of Ireland. However after a surge of interest and investment; the likes of Teeling, Waterford and Bushmills are leading the charge on innovation and quality with each release.
