Fercullen

Made at the Powerscourt Distillery in County Wicklow, Fercullen is a brand of blended and single malt Irish whiskey. Operations started in 2018 and is named after the surrounding area. The distillery utilises spring water from the Powerscourt Estate and uses a diverse variety of oak casks.

The key player here is master distiller, Noel Sweeney. He has more than three decades in the industry and is responsible for crafting and maturing these unique bottlings, using hand selected aged stocks. Releases have a broad flavour profile, but notes of caramel, fruit and malt can usually be found.

Fercullen has a wide range of expressions. The entry-level bottling is the Fercullen Falls Small Batch Blended, a 50/50 premium mix of malt and grain. This is a versatile blend that is ideal for sipping neat or putting in cocktails. If you’re looking for a single malt, the 14 Year Old is a rich and silky smooth release with plenty of sweet spice and malty notes. The range also includes grain whiskey, pot still whiskey and Amarone finished expressions.
