Kilchoman

Opened in 2005, Kilchoman is one of the newest Scotch whisky distilleries. It is based on the site of Rockside Farm, on the west coast of Islay, and was the first distillery built on the island for over 120 years. All production takes place on the farm, including growing barley, malting and bottling.

Kilchoman produces classic Islay whiskies, with peaty and nutty flavours. The majority of the spirit is aged in ex-bourbon barrels, sourced from Buffalo Trace, while the remainder will spend time in Oloroso sherry casks.

Machir Bay and Sanaig are the two permanent offerings, but there are a variety of limited edition bottles available. This includes Cognac and Calvados finishes, as well as annual releases.
