Woodford Reserve

This is one of the most well-known and oldest bourbons in the US. The distillery, based in Versailles, Kentucky, was founded in 1812, although the Woodford Reserve brand only dates back to 1996.

Woodford Reserve is made with traditional methods, using a copper pot still and a mash bill of corn, rye and malted barley. Their bourbon is aged in charred oak for around four years, resulting in a whiskey that’s full of vanilla, caramel and spice notes.

Their flagship bottling is the Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, but they also offer rye, malt and wheat expressions. If you’re looking for something extra special, the very limited Baccarat Edition has been aged in XO Cognac barrels and is bourbon at its best.
