Founded in 1897, Tamdhu Distillery is nestled in the heart of Speyside, Scotland, an area renowned for producing some of the finest single malts in the world. Tamdhu's dedication to excellence is evident in every aspect of their whisky-making process, from sourcing the highest quality barley to employing traditional distillation methods. The distillery's unique location along the River Spey provides access to pure water, essential for crafting their exceptional spirits. This bottle is true whisky dedication, a celebration of American Oak sherry cask maturation from beginning to end. Quercus Alba Distinction begins its journey in the oak forests of North America, before being imported into Spain where these casks are carefully crafted in the 'sherry triangle' over the course of six years. the staves are left to air dry in the Mediterranean sun before being assembled and toasted by experienced coopers. Finally, the Oloroso sherry seasoning takes place, before the casks travel to Tamdhu, where they impart their unique character to this exceptional whisky. Each batch is carefully crafted to highlight the unique characteristics of the oak, resulting in a rich and nuanced whisky that stands out in the Tamdhu range.
