The Balvenie 16 Year Old French Oak Pineau Cask is a unique and limited edition single malt Scotch whisky produced by The Balvenie distillery. It is part of their Experimental Series, which showcases innovative maturation techniques and flavour profiles. For this expression, Balvenie took their 16-year-old whisky and finished it in French oak casks that previously held Pineau des Charentes, a fortified wine from the Cognac region of France. This cask finish adds an intriguing layer of complexity and brings out distinctive flavours in the whisky.
