Balvenie

Balvenie is a family-owned distillery in the Speyside burgh of Dufftown. Founded in 1892 by William Grant, they maintain a traditional and hand-crafted approach to their whisky making. They are based just below Glenfiddich, to which they supply floor maltings and share the same water source. 

One of the best-selling whisky brands in the world, Balvenie has a sweet, soft and approachable character. Honey and vanilla are the signature notes, complimented by orchard fruit and subtle oak.

Balvenie is most well known for its double cask maturation process. All of their core range, such as the 12 Year Old Doublewood and 14 Year Old Carribean Cask, are subject to this.
