An extraordinary and highly limited expression from Bruichladdich’s revered Octomore range, this 10 Year Old from the 15 Series stands as their .4 release, showcasing a remarkable balance of intense peat and refined cask maturation. Distilled in 2013 and bottled after a full decade of ageing, this expression is a testament to Octomore’s ability to tame immense smoke while preserving complexity and elegance. Crafted with meticulous layering, the whisky is built upon a core of first-fill bourbon casks, enriched by Pineau des Charentes casks, second-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butts, and a touch first-fill red wine casks. The final vatting was married for six months, allowing the diverse influences to meld beautifully.
Peated to 107 PPM and bottled at a robust 52.2% ABV, this Islay single malt is presented all natural colour without chill-filtration.
