Octomore 16.1 is an uncompromising exploration of balance and intensity, showcasing Bruichladdich’s hallmark distillate in its purest form. Distilled from 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley and peated to a formidable 101.4 PPM, this expression is matured entirely in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. This cask type carefully chosen as the perfect way to showcase and reveal the underlying character of the spirit.

The American oak imparts a classic, clean sweetness that allows the bold, structured distillate to shine through—highlighting the interplay between smoke, fruit, and malt with exceptional clarity. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 59.3% ABV, this release is presented all natural colour without chill-filtration.
