Port Charlotte 18 Year Old2025 Release

Port Charlotte is distilled at the revered Bruichladdich Distillery on the Isle of Islay, an institution founded in 1881 and known for its unwavering commitment to provenance and innovation. Revived in the early 2000s, the brand continues to honour Islay’s peated whisky tradition, blending age-old techniques with a modern ethos of transparency and sustainability. Matured for eighteen years, this release is a heavily peated single malt that is a complex and deeply rewarding dram.

This release has been aged in a combination of first fill bourbon casks and second fill sherry casks, creating a harmonious interplay between sweetness, spice, and oak. A small percentage was also matured for over a decade in sherry casks, before being transferred into virgin French oak for an additional five years. This parcel was then recasked into second fill bourbon barrels, before all elements were expertly married together ahead of bottling. Presented in its natural colour and non-chill filtered, this 2025 release is crafted from 100% Scottish barley and bottled at a bold strength of 51.5% ABV.
