Aged in first-fill bourbon barrels and bottled at 58% ABV, the Wolfburn Langskip is a pleasingly smooth Highland whisky from Scotland’s most northern mainland distillery. Named after the Viking ships that hit the nearby Thurso coast, the Langskip is rich and sweet, with notes of honey, nuts and dark chocolate, followed by a sumptuous caramel finish. Another impressively balanced and flavourful dram from Wolfburn.

I am Not An Expert but I rate Wolfburn Whisky’s and This One Is A Winner From A First Class Seller.
This is the first Wolfburn I’ve tried and I must say it’s a good one. I was quite surprised how peaty/smoky (medicinal) it was, but in a good way. Underneath there is sweet pasty, vanilla, maple syrup and a subtle nuttiness. As it’s a fairly young whisky and with an ABV of 58% I was expecting it to be spirit driven and peppery, but not at all. It doesn’t need much water but a little does help open it up. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who likes a peaty/smoky scotch…I think it’s lovely!
I just adore this one, never disappoints. Strong as the longship it’s named after but just a symphony of warm comfort on the tongue. Honestly, this rocks every time. If you want a good half, dinny dither, just treat yersel, you deserve it.
