Ben Nevis

Sitting at the bottom of Britain’s highest mountain, the Ben Nevis distillery is a Highland whisky producer that was founded in 1825. It is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, and following a series of ownership changes, was acquired by the Japanese firm Nikka in 1989 – who still owns it today.

Ben Nevis draws its water from the Allt a’ Mhuilinn burn and uses a traditional distillation process with copper pot stills. They produce a rich and medium bodied spirit with notes of nuts, fruit and spice.

Since 1996, the flagship Ben Nevis whisky has been the 10 Year Old, although limited edition releases are also occasionally available – such as the Coire Leis.
