Bushmills

Bushmills is a distillery that needs no introduction. Officially launched in 1784, although whisky had been produced on the site for at least 150 years prior, this is one of the industry’s oldest and most respected names.

Located in County Antrim, Bushmills is Ireland’s largest single malt distillery. It uses a combination of peated and unpeated malt, which is triple distilled before being aged in mainly ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks.

The flagship bottling is the Bushmills Original, which is a blend of grain and malt whiskies, and made to a pre-prohibition recipe. Their aged releases include 10, 16 and 21 year old expressions, while those looking to try interesting finishes might be tempted by the Bushmills Caribbean Rum
