Cazcabel
Cazcabel Tequila is a brand of tequila from Jalisco, Mexico. It was founded in 1997 and named after Don Cazcabel, a local man once famed for his natural tonics. Originating from one of the most famous tequila-producing regions in the world, Cazcabel takes pride in this heritage and utilises traditional processes – but also strives for innovation through a number of unique flavoured expressions.
Cazcabel uses 100% Blue Weber agave which has been slow-cooked in brick ovens. Juice is then extracted, before being fermented and distilled. The resulting tequila is either bottled directly or aged in barrels, depending on the variety. Blanco, Reposado and Añejo are made here, with the latter two being aged for an increasing amount of time in oak barrels.
As well as these traditional tequilas, Cazcabel also produces unique bottlings, such as the Honey Tequila Liqueur, which combines the resposado with locally sourced honey. Other varieties include a coffee liqueur and a coconut liqueur.
