Dalwhinnie

Sitting at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, Dalwhinnie opened in 1898 and is one of the highest-operating distilleries in Scotland. It was originally called Strathspey, but was changed within a year of being built.

Though labelled as a Highland whisky, Dalwhinnie is actually a Speysider that’s recognised for its well-balanced character of honey, malt and dried fruits. It has historically been used for blends, namely Buchanans Black and White, but is now as well known for its popular 15-year-old single malt, which was released as part of Diageo’s Classic Malts range. In 2015, they also launched their first no age statement bottling, Winter’s Gold.
