James E. Pepper

James E. Pepper is a brand of American whiskey with a rich heritage. The original distillery site, which dates back to the 18th century, was closed in the 1960s before being relaunched in 2008.

Distilling returned to the Lexington distillery in 2017, while they also draw whiskey from a second distillery in Bardstown.

Their range includes four core whiskies. These are a 6 year old rye and 15 year old bourbon from their 1776 range, and a 15 year old rye and sherry cask finish rye from their Bottled in Bond series.
