Kavalan

Here we have Taiwan’s leading whisky brand. Located in Yilan, in the northeast of the country, the distillery opened in 2005 and has grown into a leading name in world whisky. 

Using water from the nearby Snow Mountain, and taking advantage of the hot and humid Taiwanese climate (which speeds maturation), Kavalan whiskies are known for their tropical flavours, spice and oak influence.

Since releasing their first bottle in 2008, the Kavalan range has expanded and includes core and limited single malts. These include the Classic, Sherry Oak and Distillery Select. Some expressions now also show the name King Car Whisky.
