Tomatin

A Highland whisky from the village of the same name, Tomatin is a popular brand of single malts that are known for their smooth and fruity flavour.

The distillery was officially established in 1897, but it’s believed that whisky has been produced on the site since the 16th century. It is one of the largest distilleries in Scotland and the first to be owned by a Japanese firm, after being purchased by Takara Shuzo in 1986.

Much of Tomatin’s output is used for blends, but they have also released a range of aged and no-aged whisky. Their entry-level expression is sweet and fruit-packed Legacy, which was launched in 2016 and has been aged in bourbon and virgin oak. They also have Cask Strength offerings, and vintages – such as this 2006 15 Year Old Port Cask.
