White Heather
White Heather is a brand of blended scotch whisky. It was first introduced to the market in the 1950s, but was discontinued in the 1980s following a Pernod Ricard takeover. The name was relaunched in 2021 and is produced at the GlenAllachie Distillery.
The driving force behind White Heather is master blender, Billy Walker, who brought the brand back to life in celebration of his 50 years in the industry. He combines malt whiskies from across Scotland, with quality grain whiskies, to create a full-bodied experience.
There are two expressions under the White Heather moniker. The 15 year old is a blend of Islay, Speyside and Highland whiskies that’s been aged in ex-bourbon barrels and sherry butts. It’s a smooth expression, with honey, butterscotch and subtle smoke on the palate. A limited edition 21 year old has also been released, which is bottled at a slightly higher 48% ABV and offers a more amplified flavour.
