This elegant single cask release from the Man O’Words series captures the softer, unpeated side of Annandale Distillery’s character. Distilled in 2017 and matured in a carefully selected refill bourbon cask (Cask #1048), this Lowland single malt is bottled at a commanding 60.3% ABV, offering an unadulterated, full-strength expression of Annandale’s fruity and refined spirit. The Man O’Words range is named in honour of Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet and a former exciseman in the region. In contrast to the bold, peated Man O’Sword series, this range highlights the distillery’s unpeated style — delicate, expressive, and layered with natural sweetness. The use of a refill bourbon cask allows the distillate’s bright, orchard fruit-driven profile to shine, with subtle cask influence adding structure and complexity. As with all Annandale bottlings, this release is presented non-chill filtered, with natural colour, and drawn from a single cask, preserving the whisky in its purest form.
