First unveiled in 1997, more than 25 years ago, Ardbeg 17 Years Old was among the first expressions to emerge from the Distillery following its reopening. Exquisitely delicate yet unmistakably Ardbeg, this exceptional malt quickly captured the hearts of the Committee, setting a remarkable benchmark for the future of Ardbeg whisky.

Dr. Bill Lumsden, Ardbeg's Master Distiller, has meticulously recreated it, note by note, ensuring every nuance remains true to the original. Bottled at 40% ABV, just as it was then, this release rekindles the spirit of its predecessor. Aromas of coastal balm and medicinal notes give way to an irresistible minerality, before unfurling into waves of sweet smoke and malted barley. Its peaty character is unmistakable, enriched with hints of tar and oak.
