Daftmill 15 Year OldFife Strength Release

Daftmill is a unique farm distillery nestled in the heart of Fife, Scotland, owned and operated by the Cuthbert family. This Lowland gem is unlike most distilleries, as it operates only during the farm's quieter periods in midsummer and winter, producing in small batches, sometimes as few as 100 casks per year. This dedication to craft and tradition is evident in every bottle. The barley used to create this exceptional whisky is grown on the Daftmill estate, with the malt coming from the Optic barley variety—a staple of the Scotch whisky industry for many years. This farm-to-bottle approach ensures a deep connection between the land and the spirit.
The Daftmill 15 Year Old is a remarkable expression, crafted from thirteen first-fill ex-bourbon barrels distilled in January or August 2007. These casks were matured in the upper level of the warehouse, benefiting from the unique climate and temperature variations, and bottled in July 2023 at an impressive 56.3% ABV, also known as the traditional Fife strength.
