Isle of Harris The Hearach

The inaugural single malt Scotch whisky from Isle of Harris distiller and the first legal whisky from the Island. The Hearach is a historic whisky inspired by their home on the small outer-Hebridean island. Created using soft Hebridean waters from the Abhainn Cnoc a ’Charrain, which runs over the oldest rocks on earth, and 100% Scottish Concerto barley that was lightly peated at 12-15ppm using peat cut by hand at 'Cleite Mhòr', an area of South Harris where peat has been harvested for generations. It has been matured for a minimum of five years, in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon casks, Oloroso and Fino sherry butts. It is lightly peated at 12-15ppm, bottled at 46% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.
