Laphroaig Quarter Cask was first introduced in 2004, this release had an initial aging period of at least five years, followed by a finishing stage in a quarter cask for several months. The smaller size of the quarter cask facilitates a more intimate interaction between the whisky and the wood, allowing for a shorter maturation period while still imparting significant flavour and character. This process and the resulting product represent a significant accomplishment for Laphroaig, showcasing their innovation and expertise in whisky production.
