For the creation of Steam & Fire, master blender Michael Henry employed Loch Lomond's classic swan neck stills alongside their distinctive straight neck stills. The innovation continues into the ageing process. The whisky begins its maturation in first-fill bourbon barrels and American oak casks, followed by an additional ten months of finishing in first-fill, heavily re-charred American oak barrels before being bottled at 46% ABV.
