Nyetimber 10862013 Vintage Prestige Cuvee

Nyetimber, a name synonymous with luxury and craftsmanship in English winemaking, stands proudly among the rolling hills of West Sussex. With its roots stretching back to the Domesday Book of 1086, Nyetimber was one of the first English vineyards to exclusively plant the holy trinity of Champagne grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
The 2013 vintage is predominantly crafted from Chardonnay, complemented by a substantial amount of Pinot Noir and a touch of Pinot Meunier, all sourced from Nyetimber's finest plots. Recognized as an exceptional year, 2013 benefited from agreeable weather conditions—a cool, fresh start to the season followed by a warm, dry July. Calm and temperate growing conditions persisted throughout the summer months, allowing for slow, gradual ripening, while a late burst of warmth ensured beautifully balanced grapes. These were then harvested in early October. Made using the same 'Traditional Method' applied in Champagne, this wine has been aged for an extended period in the estate's cellars, developing a tremendous depth of flavour that will continue to evolve with time in the bottle.
