The Girvan Distillery, established in 1963 on the Ayrshire coast of Scotland, stands as a beacon of innovation in grain whisky production. Founded by William Grant & Sons, Girvan distinguished itself early on by pioneering the use of a Coffey Still, a continuous distillation apparatus that produces exceptionally smooth and refined spirits. This advanced method results in a new make spirit that is distinctly sweeter and richer in taste, making it ideal for long-term maturation.

Distilled on the 22nd of April, 1991, this single cask bottling limited to only 76 bottles has been carefully aged for 31 years by Stillwater Whisky Co. The prolonged maturation has allowed the whisky to develop a remarkable depth of flavour, truly showcasing the potential of Girvan’s unique distillate. Bottled at a cask strength of 40.1%, this whisky retains its all-natural colour and is free from chill-filtration. With notes of crème brûlée and milk chocolate, its gentle alcohol volume allows the rich and complex flavours to gradually unfold, making each sip both enjoyable and approachable.
