Glenrothes 23 Year Old1997

Stillwater Whisky Co. is a brand new independent bottler launching in 2021. They describe themselves as 'curators of exceptional whiskies from across the globe' and we can see why; the two first release due with us soon look very tasty indeed. This release from the Glenrothes distillery has been matured for 23 years in a single sherry butt, bottled at natural cask strength at 54.8% ABV and non-chill filtered and naturally coloured of course. We do love an older Glenrothes here, and were told this release is jam-packed with typical Glenrothes spice, honey roasted pistachios and and cracked black pepper. Only 250 bottles will be released.
