Bumbu

Bumbu is a brand of rum launched in 2016 by Sovereign Brands. It’s made at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados and adheres to a 400 year old recipe used by local sailors of the time. This is a favourite among rum enthusiasts and is recognisable by its distinct bottle and unique blend of Caribbean spices. 

Bumbu’s range of rums are produced in small batches, using sugarcane that derives from eight different countries, It’s distilled using two continuous pit stills and the yeast strain used during fermentation dates back to 1840!

The flagship bottling is the Bumbu Original, but for something extra special, the Bumbu XO is an extra special rum that’s spent 18 years in ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished in ex-sherry casks.
